The duck has landed!


Yesterday, I attempted to make the next recipe I'd selected in the Roasted/Baked Poultry Section - Roasted Duck a l'Orange. (Recipes #12-14). Surprisingly enough - I found it simply in the meats section of Meijer - however, somewhat expensive ($12 for a 5lb bird) - especially since you'll get less than 1/2 of that in meat as ducks have a lot of fat.

The first picture is one of the duck before it is cooked. The second is the finished product - with the a l'Orange sauce and blanched orange peels for decoration.
